Our Mission

South Hills Area Against Dangerous Drilling (SHAADD) is a group of concerned citizens working to educate ourselves and others about the potential dangers of hydraulic fracturing and natural gas extraction and to advocate for our right to protect our communities and environment.

Our History

SHAADD was formed in June 2011, when concerned residents of Whitehall and surrounding South Hills communities began to realize the negative impacts that the toxic fracking industry was having all over our state. Together, we decided that we wanted to learn what we could do to help protect our communities.

When We Meet

SHAADD meetings are typically held at 7:00 pm, on the third Monday of each month, in the Whitehall Borough Building Multi-Purpose Room (lower-level).

Please check the "Upcoming Events" section on our home page for confirmation of meeting dates and times.
